The Victorian Farmhouse by Martie Hevia

At the Victorian Farmhouse
we fell in love.
I think it was nearly a year ago.
In a small town near Mendocino.
~
The fog rolled in
it rolled in cold and gray
We looked at each other
there wasn’t more to say
But you say,
“We’ll be back a year from today.”
[Go to Chorus]
~
[CHORUS]
(Back Vocals: I say…)
“How do you know?”
“How can you know?”
And you said:
“I just know like I know the sun will rise,
Just like I know
I’ll get lost in your green eyes,
Just like I know we’ll never say good-bye.”
~
At the Victorian Farmhouse
we fell in love.
I think it was nearly a decade ago.
In a small town near Mendocino.
~
Our faces changed
as we grew old and gray
To our own farmhouse
one day we found our way
“Our love will keep growing stronger.”
You smile and say.
(Back Vocals: And I say)
But I say
[Go to Chorus]
