For That Moment by Martie Hevia
We try to avoid each other,
but not in an obvious way.
We proceed so cautiously,
never sure of what to say.
We try not to get too close,
but when we do, oh…
~
You reach out your hand and pull me in.
You hold on to me so tightly…
and you kiss me, so deeply…
The air gets thicker and hotter.
The breathing gets so much harder.
The mind gets lost in the madness.
The heart forgets all the sadness.
~
There is only you; there is only me.
In an empty room filled with DMB.
I know you want me, but do you love me?
I believe you could.
I believe you do,
if only for that moment in your arms.
And if for that moment it’s true…
Then why not make it true…
For a lifetime…
Well, at least, a very long time.
